dear sir, I would be very much obliged if you could inform me on
the specifics of a schengen visa denial. some eu-states, like Italy, enforce laws which don't oblige them to give any motivation. my question is: if a non-EU citizen is refused a visa on basis of an existing sis-alert does the state issuing the alert has the obligation to inform the applicant about it? Secondly, does the denial of a visarquest automatically lead to an SIS-alert and if this is the case is there according to the Schengenrules an obligation to inform the applicant about issuing this alert, including the term for which it will be valid. I find lots of info about how you can appeal a denial or how you can request access or change of SIS-data, but nowwhere something about the obligations of a Schengenstate to inform about sis-alerts by handling visa requess. Thank you very much for your kind attention.
